Mom's Surgery is 1 Week Away
Well, Mom is scheduled for her surgery a week from today, October 1st.
She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and then, assuming he doesn't change everything again, she will go in next Wednesday for a scope, the worst of which will be the liquid diet the day before and the Prep the night before. Then if he sees that everything looks as they expect it to inside, (and there is no evidence of any cancers) then they will let her go home for the night, and she will have the surgery early Thursday morning.
I'll update again when there is more to say!
Prayers are welcomed! We'd love another amazing healing. Imagine his surprise if he went in for the scope and couldn't find anything to operate on! :-)

Ian is a Potty Pee-er!
Ian Peed in the Potty yesterday!
Sarah sent us all a text message about it around 5pm.
She told us later that she had been holding him on her lap and he started fussing about something, acting like he wanted something. So she started trying to guess what it was. She said, "Do you want a toy?" Well that wasn't it. So, she said, "Ok, show me what it is," and she set him down.
He took off down the hall, and bangs on the bathroom door. She figured maybe he wanted to take a bath or something, so she let him in to see what he would do.
He runs over to the toilet. "Do you want to sit on the potty?" She asked him.
Ian says, "Uh Huh!" and hits the potty seat a few times. She sat the little potty seat up on there that he has seen Tyler use, thinking maybe he thought that would be fun. So, she put him up on the potty.
He sat there very patiently and she asked him, "Are you going to go pee-pee or poo-poo?" Just playing along....and he nods his head, and then, after another minute, he peed in the potty! She was SO surprised!
So, I guess when we are babysitting, we'll have to be on the lookout for that one!
Grace did that to Leslie and Bob once! She wasn't even barely talking yet. Les couldn't barely make out what she had said, but Grace kept on banging on the door to the bathroom, so she finally checked to see if she needed to be changed, which she didn't seem to. Then a few minutes later, she did it again, and this time Leslie took her in there and checked her again, and this time, yep! She had gone! She told me later, "I guess she really wanted to sit on the potty!"
But how are you supposed to know that a 17-18 month old baby who doesn't even talk yet is wanting to use the potty!
Shame the precociousness doesn't last in this area! We are still fighting accidents at school....oh well....
